5 mm LyTec® wire. $1.50/foot This is the thickest wire we carry. The actual wire that glows is not thicker, the extra thickness is the coating around the wire. This thickness is the best option for wire that will be used outdoors, because it provides the most protection from UV light, which is detrimental to EL wire. Please specify color and desired length of wire. Colors: blue-green, lime, red, pink, ultramarine , yellow, purple, and white
For "Quantity," please simply specify the number of feet you would like. For example, if you want 10 feet, specify 10 for the quantity.
Note from Eric : I DO NOT LIKE 5MM WIRE AS MUCH AS 2.5MM! It is not as bright as the 2.5mm wire, because of the thicker shielding. I do not keep 5mm wire in stock, so I will need to order it, adding about 4-5 days to the delivery time. The 2.5 mm wire is MUCH brighter. Sometimes, a project absolutely calls for 5mm wire, so it can be ordered if necessary.
